Frederick William 'Waters ' Watts
Landscape painter in oils, who lived in Hampstead at the same time as Constable . He exhibited mainly at the BI (1823-62) and the RA 1821-60), he also exhibited at SS and NWS. He was overshadowed during his lifetime by Constable as his work was very close in style.
Nowadays his paintings are highly collectable.
He was often called Waters Watts for his ability to paint water.
