Watercolour,signed and dated 1852, 8ins x 13ins , framed 16ins x 21ins. Ince was born in Presteign , Radnorshire, painting from an early age , he was taken on by David Cox as his pupil from 1823-26. Cox had a major influence on his early career. Ince subsequently moved to London in 1826 where he showed at the RA, NWS, BI and SS. For a short while he showed in Cambridge, painting architectural subjects . In 1836 he moved back Presteign where he lived and worked for the rest of his life.
